Current Vacancies

GYA Projects & Administration Co-ordinator

35 hours per week - 12 months fixed term contract (The post holder will be expected to work on Saturdays during term time)

Salary range: £31,740 - £35,640 per annum including Inner London Weighting 

Guildhall Young Artists (GYA) is Guildhall School’s growing network of 6 centres providing inspiring performing and production arts training for children and young people aged 4 to 18. Centre locations include London, Norwich and Taunton with an online centre for those who prefer to study from home. 

In this busy broad-based role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Junior Guildhall centre on term-time Saturdays, with specific responsibilities for coordinating the administration of other GYA centres. This includes scheduling interviews and assessments, and assisting with concerts, events and projects.

We’re seeking a dynamic, organised and highly efficient individual with a successful track record in administration The ability to be self-motivated, maintain high standards, ‘do’ detail, and remain calm under pressure is essential. You will have excellent communication, numeracy and time management skills, advanced MS Office and IT competency. Knowledge of classical/contemporary music, drama or production arts ideally gained within the higher education sector, would be an advantage.

Access and Participation Evaluation and Impact Manager 

Fixed Term (18-months), Full Time (35 hours per week) 
Salary Range: £42,750 - £47,620 per annum including London Weighting, depending on experience and performance 

Guildhall School is a vibrant, international community of musicians, actors, and production artists in the heart of the City of London. Ranked first in Arts, Drama and Music by the Complete University Guide, we deliver world-class professional training in partnership with distinguished artists, companies and ensembles.  

The Access and Participation Evaluation and Impact Manager will lead on the embedding of an evaluative culture within Access and Participation and broader outreach activity taking place across the School. The post-holder will implement the Higher Education Access Tracker (HEAT), training colleagues across the School in the use of the system and managing day to day enquiries, establishing effective working practice for long-term meaningful engagement with the system. Utilising their experience, and sector best practice and training, the post-holder will also develop an evaluation framework to be used across all Access and Participation activity, supporting the School to meet commitments made in its Access and Participation Plan 2025/26-2028/29. They will provide support and guidance to colleagues looking to evaluate Access and Participation and outreach activity and work with the Public Engagement Evaluation Manager to share expertise and align evaluation practices, building a cohesive approach to evaluation across the School. Notably, they will lead on the evaluation of a pilot contextual admissions programme in the Music department, liaising with the department, the Access and Participation team and the funder for this programme to capture the evaluation and reporting requirements.  

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and creative evaluator, with a keen interest in understanding the impact of outreach activity. As part of the multi-award-winning Access and Participation team, the post-holder will lead on the creation of an evaluative culture, equipping colleagues with the necessary skills and resources to ensure the continued and long-term success of the School’s Access and Participation and outreach activity.

Guildhall Young Artists Norwich is looking to appoint an experienced singing tutor to teach (during term time) weekly 1:1 lessons, choirs, and/or group classes.

Candidates should have considerable experience in singing as either a performer, vocal coach, or choir director across any mix of our following disciplines: Classical Singing, Musical Theatre, Jazz, Pop, and Contemporary Music. Candidates should also have proven experience of being able to teach, inspire, and motivate students of the highest calibre.

MEI Project Officer

Basis: Permanent
Contractual Hours: 35, Full-time

Guildhall School is the lead delivery organisation for Music Education Islington (MEI) and as such supports all children attending state-maintained schools in the Borough of Islington with a wide variety of in-school and out of school activities, programmes and events.

MEI is led by Islington Council and Guildhall School of Music & Drama, in partnership with Music in Secondary Schools Trust and leading arts organisations and funders, as well as the Islington Community of Schools.

Guildhall School is recruiting for a Project Officer to join the MEI team. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who will lead on the operational planning and administration of out of school programmes and one-off projects. We are looking for a highly organised and dynamic individual with excellent communication skills, who has a passion for working with children and young people, their parents and carers. The ideal candidate should have strong organisation skills and substantial experience in project planning and management within music education and thrives to work in a busy and active environment.

Electronic & Produced Music Professors

Fixed term - Initially 12 months with potential for transitioning to permanent
Hourly Paid: £49.31 per hour to £76.42 (including holiday pay), depending on experience and standing

The Guildhall School of Music & Drama is looking to expand our team of hourly paid Electronic & Produced Music professors to teach (during term time) weekly 1-2-1 lessons, Group Class Sessions and occasional group master-classes on the undergraduate Principal Study Electronic & Produced Music Courses.

Candidates should have considerable experience in Electronic & Produced Music as either a performer, producer, composer or ‘sound artist’ across any mix of our following Principal Study disciplines: Electronic Music, Film Music, Sonic Art, Game Audio, Live Electronics, Popular Music Production and New Media.  Candidates should also have proven experience of being able to teach, inspire and motivate students of the highest calibre.
